Second Degree Reiki Symbols

Cho Ku Rei

pronounced cho-koo-ray

The Cho Ku Rei Symbol is the "light switch." This power symbol helps focus on Reiki energy and boosts the power level. As you draw the symbol say the name three times in your mind.

Draw the symbol in the air with intent. To clear and purify your treatment area, visually push it out to the corners of the room. Draw it on your hands to raise energy. It can be used to empower or bless anything: food, plants, animals or medication.

Use this symbol to begin treatments in conjunction with other symbols. The energy is faster and stronger than Reiki 1 when using the symbol this way. I read that a woman kept her car running the last 100 miles of a vacation trip with the it, popping the hood and drawing the symbol over the engine.

Sei He Ki

pronounced say-hay-key

This is the Harmony symbol. Using it balances the right and left hemispheres of the brain. This symbol works on the mental and emotional level to release disease that locks people into negative habit patterns. The associated energy creates emotional release and healing.

Sei He Ki is effective for self treating. Use it for your own challenges as smoking or other habit. Write your name and the problem on one side of a piece of paper, dreaw the symbols on the other side of the paper. Hold the paper between your hands and Reiki it.

Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen

pronounced hawn-shaw-za-show-nen

Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is the distance symbol, made up of five separate parts. "No past, no present, no future" ... "the bridge between heaven and earth".

The symbol is used to send distance healing to other people or situations. There is no limiting factor to block Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. In distance work all healing takes place in the now, enabling karmic release and the healing of imbalances created by attachments from the past.

Reiki flows to places where it is wanted and needed. Both conditions must be met for energy to be attracted. People who don't want energy aren't going to be burdened.
